Making your own Laundry Scent Booster is a great addition to your “all natural” laundry process. It’s easily customized with your favorite essential oil blends. You can quickly create your own with 3 simple ingredients. We’ve even noticed our clothes have less static! As always, I never share recipes, patterns, crafts, or DIY projects with you unless I’ve tried them myself.
What if I told you there is an easy way to add a homemade laundry scent booster to your all natural laundry routine? Well, you can!
As always, I never share recipes, patterns, crafts, or DIY's with you unless I try them myself.
This one we tried and love. We even noticed our clothes have less static than before.
Make your own laundry scent Booster with these 3 simple ingredients:
- Epsom salt
- Baking soda
- Essential oils
To get started making your own Laundry Scent Booster you need to first gather your ingredients. When I made ours, I used the following:
4 parts Epsom salt
1 part Baking Soda
Essential oils to preference
The recipe I used is 1 cup Epsom salt, 1/4 cup Baking Soda, and my favorite essential oil blend (I like Geranium - he likes Palo Santo).
Now that you have your ingredients, let’s get started…
Grab your clean sterilized glass jar with lid.
Add the Epsom salt to your jar.
Add the essential oils to the Epsom salt and shake to blend.
Once your oils and Epsom salt are blended you can add the Baking Soda to your jar.
Shake to mix again.
Now you’re ready to add your own Laundry Scent Booster to your laundry. Before you add it to your washing machine, make sure you check your machine’s manufacturer manual on what can (or cannot) be added to your machine.
We like to add a few sprinkles of our Laundry Scent Booster to our washing machine after we add our Laundry Sheets and prior to adding our clothes.
We’ve used this Laundry Scent Booster recipe for about 6 months now and love the results. We hope you do, too!
