Flower Coffee Cozy Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Two colors of worsted weight yarn in your choice of colors. Color A is the cozy, color B is the flower embellishment.
- J hook (US10/6.00mm)
- Yarn needle (for attaching the embellishment)
FINISHED SIZE: 4” x 3” (laying flat)
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner
STITCH ABBREVIATIONS:
CH: chain
HDC: half double crochet
SL ST: slip stitch
STS: stitches
SPECIAL NOTES:
The flower embellishment is worked in the round.
GAUGE:
1” = 4 rows x 4 stitches
PART ONE: Coffee Cozy Pattern
Begin with Color A.
Row 1: CH9.
Row 2: Insert hook into second ch from the end, 8sc, turn your work. (8)
Row 3: CH1, 8sc, turn your work.
Rows 4-30: Repeat row 3.
Turn your work.
Now, begin working the side (top) of your coffee cozy.
Row 1: Ch1, * 1sc in next st, 1hdc into next st, repeat * until the end. (30)
Now, you’ll begin closing your cozy. Bring the two ends together. CH1. Now, sc through both layers, across your work. (9 sts).
Now, begin working the bottom of your cozy.
CH1, * 1sc in next st, hdc into the next st, repeat * until the end. Sl st to beginning. CH1. Fasten off. Weave in loose ends. (30)
PART TWO: Flower Embellishment
Begin with Color B.
Round 1: Ch3, sl st together to form a circle.
Round 2: Ch1, 6hdc into the circle center, sl st to beginning. (6)
Round 3: Ch1, 2hdc into each stitch around, sl st t
o beginning. (12)

Round 4: Continue working in the round. Ch1, * 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc in next st, sl st in next stitch repeat * around. (12)
CH1. Fasten off.
PART THREE: Attaching the Flower
1. Thread a long tail of yarn (Color B) through your yarn needle.
2. Attach the flower to your cozy by threading it in and out of the two layers.
3. Knot and fasten off on the inside.
